Officer/Committee Reports

Training Committee Report
Dorene discussed training goals for 2007. Members shared their ideas for training and what they wanted to see more of. The training committee will be meeting on 2/17/2007 to plan for training in 2007. There will be more training with the horses and more classroom training. We will also offer 3 or 4 mock drills to practice our skills.

We discussed the callout procedure and what is expected of us at a callout. We also discussed the uniform policy. When, where and how to wear the uniform.

Secretary/Treasurer Report
Currently $1839.50 in checking.

Old Business

• Still looking for new donations.
• The board members had a meeting and finished writing the by-laws. A copy will be given to each member this spring.
• Non-active members were weeded out and a letter sent to each.
• Tom Strader will contact LTV/J&L for donation.
• Brian Boers presented the group with 2 first responder kits that Pioneer donated to the group. Brian Boers will carry one and Larry Dalton will carry one.

New Business

• Dale Smith will be among those who are trained on communications.
• All team captains need a backup person. Team one (Brian Boers) backup - Larry Dalton.  Team two (Roger Ault) backup - Kathy Torri. Team Three (Linda Strader) backup - Julie Strader.
• The ID card machine broke down. We will issue ID's asap when the machine is fixed.
• FM radios should be used on callouts. We are still waiting on the radio grant from Bear.
• We need to do more recruiting on the west side of the county. Team three has only 4 certified members.
• We may consider regrouping teams to move some members from team two to team three.
• We also need to create a new team for ground pounders.
